About us
TIBH is an industrial integrator for the bioproduction development in the health sector.
It was certified in 2020 and received its renewal in 2022 for five years, as part of the “Stratégie Nationale d’Accélération Biothérapies et Bioproduction” of innovative therapies under the France 2030 program.
TIBH brings together TWB, TBI, and CRITT Bio-Industries, located on the INSA Toulouse campus.
It is the only national health integrator aimed at developing alternatives to traditional bioproduction by using microbial cell factories and developing suitable bioprocesses.
TIBH undertakes several missions:
• Supporting the development of new production pathways for biopharmaceuticals based on industrial biotechnologies;
• Providing its expertise, experience, and know-how in the development of microorganisms, required for the production of proteins, therapeutic antibodies, nucleic acids and active molecules, to project leaders developing technologies for the production of innovative therapies;
• Co-developing technological building blocks with innovative startups and industry players to accelerate and de-risk bioproduction.

• SCREENING: Exploration of molecular diversity in proteins and enzymes (directed evolution, in silico design), screening methods (selection assays, miniaturization of enzymatic assays), structure/activity relationships
